SAS Survival Handbook: The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Anywhere Review
I have followed this book and its editions for the past 20 years. I have looked but to no avail, I cannot find a book that will match the conciseness, detail and knowledge that exists within these pages. You do not want to find yourself stranded with your head in the clouds and not knowing what to do to stay alive. The author goes to great pains to describe and map out step by step directions on such topics as orienteering, finding and managing resources however limited they may be and identification of hostile/toxic flora & fauna. Believe me, that does not even scratch the surface to the gems inside this guide. I believe it is every man ( and woman's) responsibility to be prepared for the worst case scenario. It will not only save your life but the lives of your loved ones and your fellow survivors. Not only that, guys will be able to impress their girlfriends and wives when they become the hero of the day by exercising the knowledge and skill set they learned from this valuable literary resource. Buy one for your self and copies for friends and relatives.

everything you need to know - calgriggs -
This book is great! I bought it for my husband and he loves it. It really has everything you need to know for survival and great tips for camping. Don't let its small size fool you... There's a lot of great information packed in this little book.
Very Practical Advice - Bruce W. Jones - GA, USA
The SAS Survival Guide is well written (plus/minus a few undefined "British" terms, but they are good for a little comic relief). This tome contains little fluff, numerous, easy-to-follow diagrams and illustrations (I copied a few, quick tent & snare-trap designs) to add to my grab-&-run (bug out) bag. There are a several excellent suggestions for chemicals to add to your emergency kit that I haven't seen before, and some fishing tips worthy of note. I read this piece in a single night and then spent a couple of hours adding from it to my personal survival notes: Bravo!
Great book - ashin220 - ashin220
Great book. It has a lot of information you need and a lot you probably never will need. It has helpful illustrations and it small enough to carry on you where ever you go.
